This falsehood must end—once and for all.

Gen. Gregory Vasilli serves in government because he fought for this country, bled for it, and earned his position through sacrifice, discipline, and years of service—not because of anyone’s surname or alleged family connection.

The repeated attempt to reduce his identity to the word “in-law” is either a display of intellectual laziness or a deliberate act of malice. The liberation of South Sudan was never a family enterprise, and governance today is not a preserve of relatives.

Let us confront this distortion directly: many individuals occupy positions far more powerful than that of Gen. Gregory. Are they all relatives of the President as well, or does this accusation only surface when propaganda is required?

This is not genuine criticism. It is character assassination disguised as activism. It undermines the liberation struggle, disrespects real sacrifice, and degrades public discourse. If there are policy disagreements, debate them openly.

If there is evidence of wrongdoing, present it responsibly. But stop insulting history—and the intelligence of the public—with selective and dishonest narratives.Source: The Nile Press
